Tyre's Birthday-Fred Chason's Grandsons Buffet Ramsey Street

Recently, as a family we started meeting up for dinner to celebrate each other's birthdays. I know that's a normal thing to do in most families but our family is little different. LOL. We all travel a lot and none of us like to sit still. It's a Barrett thing I think. As a whole, I think when my grandmother passed away, we really didn't know how to have a party without her. Quite honestly, we sometimes forget that birthdays are even coming up. We want our family members to feel special and appreciated on their day. So, we let the birthday boy/girl pick dinner and we all join them for their night of celebration. Sometimes, there are 30 of us.....and sometimes there are only 10. Whether big or small we simply love the fellowship and of course we love the food.

Tyre Smith is my amazing little cousin who we celebrated at Grandson's Buffet on Ramsey Street. Now, it's no secret that I hate going to buffets so POP BEAR as we call him has to be special.(his mom, aunt Janice, gives everyone funny nick names) I did secretly want to know what all the hype was about. It seemed like everyone was talking about how good the food was and I definitely wouldn't be a true foodie if I didn't check it out.

Grandson's Buffet opened a new location on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville, NC. It is in the building where the Hibachi Grill used be located. Upon entering the building we saw a line of people waiting to be seated. My first thought...."we are going to starve to death in this line". lol. Surprisingly, the line went by quickly and the staff was extremely friendly. We didn't know it was 2 for 20 night(every Tuesday Night) and they did everything they could to make sure we had enough people on each ticket to get the most out of the deal.

The food was great. We saw servers constantly refilling and refreshing the buffet line. Nothing looked stale or day old. I commend them whole heartedly for keeping everything nice and clean despite the amount of people that scavenged over the food.

I think Tyre truly enjoyed his birthday dinner. I am so proud of the man he is becoming. At his age he has accomplished more than most people will in a lifetime. He is a true gentleman and man of God. His girlfriend knows he is a keeper. I still have one eye on her at all times though...... LOL(kidding but not kidding) I love them both deeply and I wish them the best.
