Emotionally Eating & Supporting Local Restaurants-Kinlaw's Grill

I don't know about you but when I am in my feelings all I wanna do is eat. There is something so comforting and fulfilling about eating when you are sad. LOL. I can't be the only one. Please don't call Dr. Phil on me. It's not as bad as it seems. So, it was my pleasure to join my cousin Leander to Kinlaw's Grill today for lunch. Kinlaw's is a family owned and locally operated restaurant and grocery store in Fayetteville, NC. At first glance you would think that the cafeteria style restaurant is just a place for truckers and the working class. That couldn't be further from the truth. Kinlaw's Grill is the local gathering place for all walks of life. Black/White, Rich Poor....you name it, they were definitely in there. Today as I was enjoying my bowl of yams I noticed local politicians and lawyers in business suits ordering fried chicken and collards. Yes, the food has to be good if you are going to risk your 100.00 tie just to taste some pork chops and black eyed peas. The Liver and Onions were tender and the yams were sweet and the tea was good.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was that of your standard local country cooking diamond in the rough. Check out Kinlaw's Grill Monday-Friday 6-2. If you have a few minutes walk next door to the grocery store and peep the great selections of meats. There is something for everyone. You can't beat 7.00 a plate and you will be in and out in time to beat your co worker back from break and brag that you got a full country dinner in less than 20 minutes.
